For Immediate Release Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-NY), Ranking Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee, today announced the Democratic members who will serve on the Committee in the 113th Congress and the makeup of the 12 Appropriations subcommittees. The selections were ratified yesterday by the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee and today by the Democratic Caucus. "The House Appropriations Committee will play a key role in the 113th Congress as we work to create jobs, invest in our future, and reduce the deficit and debt in a balanced and responsible way," said Lowey. "I am pleased the Democratic caucus has ratified the 12 subcommittee Ranking Members and all Democrats who will serve on the Committee.
